About Malaysian Composers Collective

MCC is a non-profit ogranisation to promote Malaysian contemporary classical music, and is registered under Persatuan Komposer Kolektif (ROS PPM-008-10-02112016).

Since its inception in 2008 MCC has chalked many milestones and firsts: it produced Malaysia's first anthology of contemporary composers 'Faith, Hope & Chaos' in collaboration with Off The Edge magazine, organised the country's first young composer's workshop with HSBC Bank in 2007, Malaysia's first new music festival in 2009 with Goethe Institut and rejoined the regional fraternity Asian Composers League (ACL) after a lapse of two decades in 2009.

Through ACL we have brought Malaysian new music to the international stage, and presented the country's young composers to take part in the regional young composer's competition for the first time in nearly 20 years.
